Emanuele Rabosio was born in Milan in 1985. He studied Computer Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, obtaining his bachelor and master degrees, both cum laude, in July 2007 and October 2009. In the same university, in March 2013 he received the Ph.D. in Information Technology. During his Ph.D., he spent four months as a visiting scholar at the University of Antwerp (Belgium). From 2013 to 2017 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria (DEIB) of Politecnico di Milano. His research has been focused in the field of databases, and in particular he studied approaches to deal with information overload, which is the problem arising when the users are not able to properly manage their data due to the excessive size. In this scope, he proposed data personalization techniques relying on the concept of context, which is the situation that a user is living while accessing data. He was a teaching assistant for university courses about foundations of computer science, foundations of databases, data warehouses and data integration. Moreover, he was member of the program committee of international workshops and served as a reviewer for international journals. Currently, he holds a postdoc position at the Center for Analysis, Decision and Society of the Human Technopole.

Emanuele Rabosio ha studiato Ingegneria Informatica al Politecnico di Milano conseguendo una laurea triennale e specialistica, entrambe con lode, rispettivamente nel lugio 2007 e nell'ottobre 2009. Presso la stessa università nel marzo 2013 ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Information Technology. Durante il dottorato di ricerca ha trascorso quattro mesi come visiting scholar presso l'Università di Anversa (Belgio). Dal 2013 zl 2017 è stato ricercatore post-dottorato presso il Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazion e Bioingegneria (DEIB) del Politecnico di Milano. La sua ricerca è stata focalizzata nel campo delle banche dati, e in particolare ha studiato gli approcci per affrontare il sovraccarico di informazioni, che è il problema che sorge quando gli utenti non sono in grado di gestire correttamente i loro dati a causa di dimensioni eccessive. In questo ambito, ha proposto tecniche di personalizzazione dei dati basate sul concetto di contesto, ovvero la situazione che un utente sta vivendo mentre accede ai dati. E' stato assistente didattico per corsi universitari sulle basi dell'informatica, fondazioni di database, data warehouse e integrazione di dati. Inoltre, è stato membro del comitato di organizzazione di workshop internazionali e ha lavorato come revisore per riviste internazionali. Attualmente ricopre una posizione post-dottorato presso il Centri di Analisi, Decisioni e Società di Human Technopole.
