Project

The Human Technopole project has been written by the Italian Institute of Technology in collaboration with research centers, hospitals and universities in the territory with individual competences in specific fields. The project has been evaluated and approved by an independent and international committee driven by the italian government.

The Human Technopole project consists of a groundbreaking infrastructure of 30.000 sqm cross-disciplinary laboratories, comprising 7 research centers and 4 facilities. The infrastructure will involve about 1500 people, of which 15% of administrative staff and 100 research groups.

Research centers will have their primary infrastructure at the Human Technopole, but may also have collaborations outside, according to specific inter-institutional agreements. Each Center may comprise one or more laboratories and will pursue several well-defined research lines. Three main scientific facility will support the activity of the research centers; a fourth facility (F4) will group laboratories and services of common interest.

The full description of the project is provided.
